Chambers KSO-298UM are manufactured in one modification having the front side width of 750 mm.

Chamber is a welded metal frame type structure assembled from roll-formed shapes and painted with powdered polymer paint.

One-side service chamber is divided by metal partitions into four zones:

- high-voltage zone;

- cable connection zone;

- low-voltage zone;

- bus zone.

High-voltage zone incorporates the vacuum switch BB/TEL and current transformers.

Cable connection zone contains line disconnector,  voltage transformer,  zero-sequence transformer, auxiliary transformer, and surge arrester.

Low-voltage zone is a frame with auxiliary circuit equipment installed on the inside of the chamber's upper door. Low-voltage zone is where control, protection and automation equipment, alarms, metering and measuring devices are installed.

Busbar zone contains supporting insulators, buses, and busbar breaker.

Handles of breaker drives and control buttons of the vacuum switch are located on the front side of the chamber.

Access to the interior of the chamber is via two doors - the upper one leads to the low-voltage zone, and the lower one - to the cable connection zone, power transformer or disconnectors.

Between the HV and LV zone a removable partition is installed to prevent access to the HV zone. On the special guides, the Upper door of the chamber and the frame can be moved out on the guides. Following equipment is on its front side: protection, control, alarm, metering, and measuring devices.

On the lower door there is a window to inspect the inside of the camera.

One-side service chambers have internal LED lighting.

Access to busbars is via a removable protective cover on the front side of the chambers.

One side-access chambers provide for cable end cutting of one or two three-phase cables up to 240 mm², as well as six single-phase cables up to 500 mm² with insulation made of cross linked polyethylene.

The channel for the main buses of the operational circuits for powering the closing solenoids, control circuits, and alarms is a box located in the middle part of the chambers. Also in this box there is an output terminal block for interchamber connections of auxiliary circuits.

Chambers are separated from each other by metal dividers.

Chambers have several electrical and mechanical interlocks for safe operation.

In two-row arrangement in switchgear space, bus bridges are installed on the chambers.

Bus bridges are of two types - without disconnectors and with disconnectors for busbar sectioning. Switch actuators are placed on the panels 200 mm wide, mounted between the the two end chambers in the row.
