Design

KSO-366 chambers are unitized and irrespective of the arrangement of the main circuit electrical connections have similar design of the main units. Each KSO chamber is a welded metal structure with main circuit equipment inside: load switches, disconnectors, current transformers, and voltage transformers. The handles of the mechanical control actuators for the load break switch (disconnector) and grounding blades are located on the front side of the chamber. At the top of the chamber, along the front side, there is a box with a door where the auxiliary circuit trunks are laid. Access to the camera is provided through the door with a window to inspect the inner zone. Each chamber is lined with a metal sheet on the left end face. LED lights are used for lighting of the cell housing interior.

KSO chambers can be arranged in single-row and double-row layout.

Double-row switchgear requires busbar bridges. There are two types of busbar bridges: without disconnectors or with disconnectors for busbar sectioning. Busbar bridge disconnector drives are mounted on the end panels, which also serve as fencing for the switchgear busbars. The bus bridge with disconnectors is installed only on the end chambers of the switchgear.

There are following mechanical interlocks in KSO chambers:

- interlock against closing of the grounding blades, when the main blades of the load break switch (disconnector) are closed;

- interlock against closing of the grounding blades, when main knives of the main load break switch (disconnector) are closed;

- interlock against closing of the grounding blades, when the main blades of the load break switch (disconnector) are closed;

Grounding of the switchgear busbars can be implemented in a chamber with a voltage transformer or in separate chambers.
