Low voltage switchgear ShNN-GRSch series

ShNN-GRSch series LV witchgear are designed for receiving electricity at total current load of up to 3,150 A, distribution of electric power to outgoing lines, protection from overloads and short circuit currents.

Usually, ShNN-GRSch cabinets are used at facilities where the overall dimensions of electrical equipment are critical and the use of circuit breakers is not economically justified, e.g., as LV switchgear in PTS such as KTPB and KTPU.

ShNN-GRSch functions:

- reception and distribution of electrical energy;

- protection against overloads and short circuits in the outgoing lines;

- commercial metering of electrical energy in the incoming and outgoing lines;

- automatic transfer to backup source (option).

Design

ShNN-GRSch switchgear consists of one-side service cabinets (1 section): entry (or entry-sectional) cabinet and a cabinet for outgoing lines. The height and width of the entry (or entry-sectional) cabinet vary depending on the type of switching equipment used and its rated current. Cabinet's depth is 600 mm. Height of the outgoing-line cabinet is 1,950 mm, depth is 600 mm, and its width varies depending on the number of outgoing feeders from 720 mm to 2,160 mm.

Each ShNN-GRSch cabinet is a welded metal frame. The frame and hook-up elements of the cabinet are painted with powder paint of the customer's colors.

Entry cabinet is equipped with hinged doors. Inside the cabinet there are withdrawable, plug-in, or stationary circuit breakers. Also installed are the throw switches of domestic and foreign make. Along with the switchgear entry devices, a sectioning device can also be installed in the cabinet.

Outgoing lines cabinet is divided into 3 parts from top to bottom: compartment for metering the electrical energy in on the top. Its middle part is occupied by the busbars with mounted on them the throw switch units with fuses rated up to 630 A, with vertical arrangement of phases of one connection. Cable connection compartment is in the lower part of the cabinet . Electricity metering compartment is equipped with swing doors, on which the control/alarm equipment, and measuring instruments are mounted. Incoming and outgoing line electricity metering devices can be installed on the mounting panel fixed to the rear panel of the cabinet. Cable connection compartment is equipped with removable metal panel. Maximum 6 outgoing cable lines or cable strands of cross-section 240 mm can be connected to the devices.
